Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Tuesday’s trading in the green, backed by banks and other four sectors.
By 10:00 am Qatar time, the general index grew 0.34% to 8,741.47 points, adding 29.56 points.
Turnover amounted to QAR 15.6 million after 538,200 shares changed hands through 236 transactions.
The banking sector topped the QSE’s gainers adding 1.11% as Qatar National Bank (QNB) rose 2.21%, while the industrial sector grew 0.31% after Qatar Investors increased 1.54%.
Meanwhile, the real estate sector topped the bourse’s decliners falling 0.65% after Ezdan Holding Group levelled down 1.18%.
Likewise, the insurance sector decreased 0.41%, dragged by Qatar Islamic Insurance’s 6.31% drop.
Qatar Insurance’s stock, which inched up 0.29%, led the market in terms of trading volume with 195,900 shares, generating QAR 7.5 million in a turnover.
