Banks push up DFM Wednesday

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) closed Wednesday’s trading session in green territory, boosted by the growth of the banks sector.

The DFM’s trading volume hit 89.68 million shares exchanged at a turnover of AED 140.99 million.

The banks sector increased 1.14% after the heavyweight Emirates NBD’s stock levelled up 2.76% to AED 9.29, while the transportation sector inched up 0.86% as Aramex’s stock rose 1.66%, reaching AED 4.25.

The telecommunication sector and its only stock, Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Co (DU), went up 0.2% each.

On the other hand, the investment and financial services sector fell 2.74% after Dubai Investment dropped more than 6%.
