Bahrain Bourse’s (BHB) benchmark index fell by 0.41% or 4.7 points to close at 1,152.72 points on Monday; meanwhile, Bahrain Islamic index rose by 1.33% or 10.07 points to 766.29 points.
BHB’s market cap decreased to BHD 6.83 billion as compared to BHD 6.87 billion on Sunday.
Today’s liquidity shrank to about BHD 367,450 as trading volume decreased to nearly 952,540 shares.
The services sector led the decliners by 2.4% as Seef and Batelco retreated 5.7% and 3.85% respectively; while the industrial sector advanced the gainers by a 7.1% growth when Alba leveled up 7.4%.
BHB’s banks sector also fell by 0.9%, dragged down by NBB, Al Salam, and AUB which lost 2.44%, 1.04%, and 0.73% respectively.
