Banks sector drags Bahrain Bourse into red zone

The benchmark index of Bahrain’s stock market retreated 0.45% or 5.51 points to settle at 1,206.70 points on Monday.

Bahrain Islamic index fell by 0.12% or 0.99 points to reach 792.82 points.

Today’s turnover stood at nearly BHD 437,230 as trading volume reached 1.65 million shares that were traded through 44 transactions.

Market cap amounted to BHD 7.15 billion as compared to BHD 7.164 billion.

Banks sector dropped 0.87%, dragged by National Bank of Bahrain, Al Salam Bank, and AUB which fell by 2.11%, 1.14%, and 0.71% respectively.

Moreover, investment sector declined by 0.14%.
