Banks stocks boost ADX on Sunday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Sunday’s trading session slightly up, backed by the banks stocks.

The ADX’s general index edged up 4.76 points, or 0.09%, to 5,074.17 points.

Trading volume amounted to 25.88 million shares that were exchanged at turnover of AED 44.51 million through 595 transactions.

Market capitalisation lost AED 105 million and closed the session at AED 519.47 billion.

The banks sector rose by 0.31%, backed by First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) that added 0.53% to AED 15.19, 0.20% to AED 5.09, and 0.13% to AED 7.96, respectively.

Similarly, the energy sector inched up by 0.08% as Dana Gas levelled up 0.53% to AED 0.95.

On the other hand, the real estate sector fell by 1.35% as Aldar Properties went down by 1.42% to AED 2.10, and the telecommunication sector shed 0.12%.

Aldar Properties was the most active stock by value with a turnover of AED 10.71 million, while Dana Gas was the most active stock by volume with a trading volume of 6.34 million shares.
