Dubai – Mubasher: Dubai Financial Market (DFM) opened Tuesday’s trading on a negative note as its benchmark index declined by 0.27% or 8.84 points to the level of 3,594.21 points.
By 10:55am UAE time, turnover amounted to AED 150.80 million as 123.46 million shares were exchanged through 1,722 transactions.
The banks sector dropped by 0.9%, pressured by a fall of 4% in Emirates NBD, the top loser, and 2.63% in Al Salam Bank.
The consumer staples sector shrank 1.49% as dXb Entertainments fell 1.72%, while the investment sector retreated 0.06% due to a 0.6% decrease in DFM.
