Banks stocks drag QSE down at open

Doha – Mubasher: The benchmark of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) declined in Thursday’s early trading by 0.11% to the level of 9,908.44 points.

Traded volume reached 1.14 million shares exchanged at QAR 23.55 million through 574 transactions.

The banking sector was the worst performer after falling 0.35%, pressured by the drop in Commercial Bank of Qatar (CBQ), while the transportation sector slipped 0.08% as Nakilat shrank 1.03%.

Meanwhile, the real estate advanced 0.2% thanks to a 1.5% rise in Mazaya Qatar.
