Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) erased its early gains and saw a negative performance on Monday, pressured by the fall of banks stocks.
The main index fell 0.09% or 3.82 points to reach 4,482.46 points.
The services sector led losers after declining 3.4% as Abu Dhabi National Hotels (ADNH) slid 9.8%.
The banks sector declined 0.14% as Union National Bank (UNB), Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) and National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) went down 3.9%, 0.63% and 0.43% respectively.
On the flipside, the energy sector rose 1.4% as Dana Gas grew 1.72%.
The real estate sector also grew 0.5% due to an increase in Aldar Properties by 0.76%.
The market saw trading of 74.29 million shares on Monday, compared to 61.92 million shares on Sunday. Turnover stood at AED 105.42 million, compared to AED 95.18 million.
