Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Blue-chip stocks, particularly the bank sector, have weighed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) this week.
The ADX’s general index closed the week 0.35% down at 5,096.09 points.
The banks sector has seen a negative performance during the week, with Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) falling by 2.75% and 0.78%, respectively.
Similarly, the energy sector contracted as Dana Gas’ stock shed 1.63%.
Moreover, the telecommunication sector went down as well, pressured by Etisalat’s stock that fell by 2.73%.
On the other hand, the real sector was the sole riser of the week as Aldar Properties’ stock levelled up 0.90%.
