Cairo – Mubasher: Banque du Caire’s net profit soared 94% year-on-year to EGP 1.93 billion during the first six months of 2019.
Profit before taxes reached EGP 2.5 billion in H1-19, compared to EGP 1.91 billion in the year-ago period, according to a bank statement released on Saturday.
The bank’s total assets rose by 7% to EGP 179 billion in the first half of 2019, against its figure at the end of 2018.
Loan portfolio jumped 10% to EGP 73 billion in H1-19, compared to the end of last year.
During the six-month period ended 30 June, deposits grew by 9% to EGP 143 billion.
Earlier in August, Banque du Caire’s chairman, Tarek Fayed, stated that the bank’s micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) finance portfolio increased by 30% year-on-year during the first six months of 2019.
