Mubasher: Bahrain Telecommunication Company (Batelco) signed a partnership agreement with Ericsson to launch fifth-generation (5G) network services in the country.
The services will be implemented in various regions in the GCC nation over the coming three years, Batelco said in a statement on Sunday.
On 27 March, the firm’s shareholders approved distributing a cash dividend of 27.5 fils per share for the full fiscal year 2018.
During the full-year 2018, Batelco reported a 1,335% year-on-year surge in net profits attributed to shareholders, logging BHD 50.1 million, compared to BHD 3.5 million.
