Mubasher: Bahrain Telecommunications (Batelco) and Tata Communications have signed an agreement to cooperate in the field of cloud computing and connectivity solutions.
Batelco said in a statement to the Bahrain Bourse on Sunday that the agreement will extend the data centre footprint for both companies, as well as enhancing the services they offer to their customers.
Recently, the Bahraini telecom provider announced a partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS), which will allow it to deliver Amazon products and services in Bahrain to meet local demand.
The CEO of Batelco, Muna Al Hashemi, said that partnering with Amazon will enhance the company’s cloud and digital solutions.
In collaboration with Ericsson, Batekci conducted the first 5G trial in Bahrain, with the aim to drive innovation for Internet of Things (IoT) applications on 5G mobile network technology in the kingdom.
