Beltone profits jump 736% in 2016

Cairo - Mubasher: The financial statements of Beltone Financial Holding showed a surge in annual profits by 735.8% in 2016, according to a bourse filing.

Profits totalled EGP 44.3 million last year, compared to EGP 5.3 million in 2015, the company said in a statement to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) on Sunday.

Revenues amounted to EGP 231.1 million by the end of fiscal year 2016, compared to EGP 84 million in FY15.

Return on equity reached EGP 0.26 per share, compared to EGP 0.06 per share for the previous year.

The company said in a separate bourse filing that foreign exchange gains recorded EGP 75 million in FY16 on the back of the Egyptian pound's flotation and liberalising the exchange rate.
