Mubasher: Bitcoin on Thursday jumped to a new record high, exceeding the level of $7,000, according to CoinDesk.
The digital currency surged by 8.6% to $7,026.6 by 8:50 GMT, at a market capitalisation of $117.1 billion.
Bitcoin continued gains despite international tightening, as China previously banned initial coin offerings (ICOs), while Switzerland decided to shut down a fake cryptocurrency provider.
Overall, Bitcoin jumped over 500% since January, as its market value increased 74% to $69.7 billion from $40.8 billion during the third quarter of 2017.
BitCoin Cash also hiked 15.4% to $543.5.
