Blue Chips push down ADX Sunday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) finished Sunday's trading session in negative territory after dropping 38.99 points, or 0.85%, to 4,566.05 points.

The ADX’s trading volume plunged to 43 million shares in the first session of the week, against 185.54 million shares on Thursday, while liquidity tumbled to AED 75.18 million, from AED 434.39 million.

The energy sector decreased 1.55% as Abu Dhabi National Energy’s (TAQA) stock fell 8%, while Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) distribution unit, Adnoc Distribution’s stock inched down 0.40%.

The telecommunication sector declined 1.23% after Emirates Telecommunications Group’s stock (Etisalat) retreated 1.23%.

The banks sector edged down 0.87%, dragged by First Abu Dhabi Bank’s (FAB) stock which fell 1.22%.

The real estate sector shed 0.52% after Aldar Properties’ stock levelled down 0.49%.
