Blue-chip stocks boost ADX Thursday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Thursday’s trading session closed in green territory on the back of rising blue-chip stocks topped by Aldar Properties.

The ADX’s general index edged up 10 points, or 0.2%, to finish the last session of the week at 4,999.46 points.

The telecommunication, the banks, and the real estate sectors went up by 0.12%, 0.17%, and 2.50%, respectively, while the energy sector was the sole decliner with 1.12%.

Manazel Real Estate was the most active stock in terms of trading volume with 15.96 million shares, while First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) was the most heavily traded stock with a turnover of AED 55.89 million.

Trading volume reached 51 million shares exchanged with a turnover of AED 125.1 million, and market capitalisation closed at AED 513.1 million.
