Blue chips boost ADX Sunday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) general index gained 46.4 points, or 1%, to close at 4,699.43 points on Sunday, pushed up by blue chips.

The ADX’s trading volume shrank to 63.35 million shares from 71.69 million on Thursday, while the market’s liquidity dropped to AED 101.7 million versus AED 172.504 million in the previous session.

The real estate sector surged 2.76% after Aldar Properties soared 2.91%, while Manazel Real Estate and RAK Properties jumped 3.7% and 3.08%, respectively.

The banks sector added 1.24% after First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) increased by 2.02%, while the energy sector gained around 0.92%, as Dana Gas and TAQA levelled up 2.17% and 1.9%, respectively.

The telecommunications sector and its only stock, Etisalat, went up 0.29% each.
