Blue chips boost ADX at Monday’s close

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Monday’s trading session in positive territory, supported by the growth of the energy and banks sectors.

The general index increased by 30.15 points, or 0.62%, closing the session at 4,934.28 points.

The ADX’s trading volume reached 21.16 million shares exchanged with a turnover of AED 100.05 million through 1,161 transactions.

The investment sector topped gainers with 2.10%, after Waha Capital added 2.27%, while the banks sector rose 0.88% as Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) levelled up 1.25% and 1.10%, respectively.

Similarly, the real estate sector added 0.59% on the back of Aldar Properties’ growth.

Meanwhile, the energy sector headed the decliners falling 0.46% as Dana Gas and ADNOC went down 0.62% and 0.43%, respectively.
