Blue chips boost ADX at Wednesday’s close

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) ended Wednesday’s trading session in the green, supported by the growth of the real estate, energy, and banks sectors.

The general index increased by 16.41 points, or 0.34%, closing the session at 4,817.11 points.

The ADX’s trading volume reached 30.17 million shares exchanged with a turnover of AED 49.42 million through 662 transactions.

The real estate sector topped the risers adding 1.57% as Aldar Properties grew 2.01%, while the energy sector levelled up 1.10% after Dana Gas grew 1.91%.

Similarly, the banks sector went up 0.51% as First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) advanced 0.72%.

On the flip side, the industrial sector headed the losers falling 3.80% after Jalphar dropped 9.09, followed by the decline of the consumer staples sector with 2.37%.
