Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Wednesday’s trading session in positive territory, encouraged by three sectors.
The general index increased by 26.20 points, or 0.53%, closing the session at 4,953.24 points.
The ADX’s trading volume reached 20.70 million shares exchanged with a turnover of AED 104.73 million through 1,124 transactions.
The banks sector topped gainers with 0.80% as Union National Bank (UNB) and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) levelled up 2.07% and 0.8%, respectively.
The telecommunication sector and its sole stock, Etisalat, went up 0.35% each, while the industrial sector grew 0.33% after Ras Al Khaima Ceramics jumped 2.84%.
Similarly, the energy sector advanced 0.3% as Abu Dhabi National Energy (TAQA) surged 4.04%.
