Blue chips boost DFM at Thursday’s close

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) ended Thursday’s trading session with a positive performance, supported by selective purchases on blue chips.

The general index rose 5.90 points, or 0.23%, ending the session at 2,545.65 points.

The DFM’s trading volume retreated to 100.74 million shares by the end of Thursday down from 135.22 million shares on Wednesday, while liquidity declined to AED 104.04 million against AED 118.62 million in the previous session.

The industrial sector topped gainers adding 15% as National Cement Company hiked by a similar 15%, while the investment sector rose 1.2% as SHUAA Capital and Dubai Investments levelled up 2.35% and 1.53%, respectively.

Similarly, the banks sector went up 0.49% due to Emirates NBD’s 0.5% increase.
