Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Monday’s trading in green territory, backed by the growth of six sectors.
By 10:00 am Qatar time, the general index inched up 17.57 points, or 0.20%, to 8,686.58 points.
The bourse's turnover amounted to QAR 28.4 million after 1.5 million shares were exchanged through 591 transactions.
The banking sector topped the QSE’s six gainers adding 0.28%, encouraged by Islamic Holding Group which rose 3.07%.
Similarly, the industrial sector levelled up 0.12% after Qatar National Cement went up 1.41%.
On the negative side, the goods sector topped the bourse’s decliners falling 0.94%, dragged by Zad Holding Group which dipped 6.31%.
Mesaieed’s stock, which retreated 0.93%, led the market in terms of trading volume with 699,700 shares, generating QAR 11.3 million in turnover.
