Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started Sunday in green territory, after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) surged 60.20 points, or 0.76%, reaching 7,958.88 points.
By 10:45 am Saudi time, TASI’s trading volume reached 21.67 million shares exchanged through 16,750 transactions with a turnover of SAR 504 million.
The media sector rose 2.8%, followed by the food and staples retailing, materials, banking and telecommunication services sectors with 2.4%, 0.85%, 0.8%, and 0.78%, respectively.
On the other hand, the retailing sector fell 0.12%, while real estate investment traded funds (REITs) inched down 0.02%.
Nama Chemicals’ stock led risers with 5.2%, whereas the Saudi British Bank’s (SABB) stock declined 1.8%.
Meanwhile, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, tumbled 25.68 points, or 1%, to 2,569.62 points.
Baazeem Trading Co’s stock decreased by 1%, while Arab Sea Information System Co’s stock edged down 0.4%.
