Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) general index lost around 18.17 points, or 0.39%, to close at 4,671.03 points on Wednesday on the back of blue chips.
Trading volume rose to 59.42 million shares from 58.34 million on Tuesday, while liquidity surged to AED 125.88 million versus AED 97.13 million in the previous session.
The energy sector tumbled 2.05% after Dana Gas dropped 4.4% and Adnoc Distribution shed 0.41%.
The telecommunication sector and its only stock, Etisalat, went down 0.86% each.
The banks sector sank approximately 0.17%, as Union National Bank (UNB), Sharjah Islamic Bank (SIB), First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) levelled down 1.89%, 0.81%, 0.4%, and 0.26%, respectively.
In a similar vein, the real estate sector inched down 0.02% after RAK Properties dropped 3.03% and Eshraq Properties declined 1.41%.
