Blue chips drag ADX down at open

Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: The benchmark index of Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) declined by 1.26% to settle at 4,216.15 points at 11 am UAE local time on Thursday.

ADX’s liquidity amounted to AED 50 million as 25.27 million shares were traded through 461 transactions.

The real estate sector advanced the decliners by 3.5% as AlDar stock fell by 3.5%.

The energy sector dropped 2.04%, after Abu Dhabi National Energy retreated by 2.2%.

Banks sector leveled 1.8% down, after Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank lost 4.6%.

Dana Gas was the most active stock on which 12.36 million shares were exchanged.

Etisalat recorded the highest turnover of AED 13.6 million.
