Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) ended Tuesday’s trading session on a low note, weighed by leading stocks in the energy, real estate, and banks sectors.
The general index slipped 0.23% or 11.39 points to close at 4,960.04 points. Turnover amounted to AED 211.340 million after 95.85 million shares were exchanged through 1,703 transactions.
The energy sector retreated 2.46% after Dana Gas tumbled 3.44%, while the real estate sector was down 1.79% after Aldar Properties and Eshraq Properties sank 1.78% and 3.40%, respectively.
In addition, banks declined 0.23% after First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) decreased 0.41%.
On the other hand, the telecom sector and its only stock Etisalat grew 0.58% each.
FAB was the ADX’s value leader on Tuesday with AED 90.99 million in turnover, while Dana Gas was the most active in terms of volume with 58.85 million shares exchanged.
