Mubasher: The benchmark index of Bahrain Bourse ended Wednesday in red, dragged by the negative performance of blue chips including AUB, Alba, and Batelco.
The index inched down 0.2% or 2.4 points to close at 1,217.83 points.
Bahrain Islamic index retreated 0.04% or 0.34 points to reach 802.98 points.
The market cap decreased to BHD 7.198 billion from BHD 7.212 billion on Tuesday.
Today’s turnover amounted to about BHD 347,000 ($920,200) as 3.3 million shares were traded.
The industrial sector led the decliners by losing 053%, led down by Alba stock which fell by 0.55%.
Banks sector dipped 0.45%, affected by AUB which dropped 0.72%.
Meanwhile, Services sector rose by 0.21%, backed by gains of Zain and Nass.
