Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market’s (DFM) general index lost 7.8 points, or 0.25%, to close at 3,083.37 points on Thursday on the back of blue chips.
The investment sector shed 1.03% after the DFM Company and Dubai Investments went down 1.9% and 0.9%, respectively.
The banks sector sank 0.9%, as Emirates NBD dropped 3.3% to AED 10.3.
On the other hand, the telecommunication sector and its only stock, du, rose 1.4% each.
The transportation sector added 0.16% after Air Arabia increased by 1.7%, while the real estate sector went up 0.16%, as Arabtec Holding, Damac Properties, and Emaar Properties levelled up 1.34%, 1.33%, and 0.9%, respectively.
The DFM’s trading volume surged to 155.29 million shares on Thursday from 96.53 million on Wednesday, while the market’s liquidity soared to AED 252.39 million versus AED 156.62 million in the previous session.
