Blue chips lead ADX to open at rise

Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) opened at the rise, backed by the banks and real estate sectors.

The general index added 1.9% or 78.58 points to reach 4,132.95 points by 10:50am UAE time.

The banks sector rose 3.3% after First Gulf Bank and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank advanced 6.17% and 5.5%, respectively.

The real estate sector levelled up 1% as Aldar Properties grew 1.3%.

The telecom sector inched up 0.3% after Etisalat increased 0.3%.

The investment sector led losers after falling 1.5% due to a decrease in Waha Capital by1.5%.

The market saw trading of 26.09 million shares through 579 transactions, with turnover of AED 81.9 million.
