Blue chips push ADX higher at open

Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) opened Thursday’s trading session in the green, in line with the growth of most blue chips led by First Gulf Bank (FGB) and Aldar Properties.

The main index went up 0.78% or 35.31 points to reach 4,484 points by 10:20am UAE time.

The real estate sector led risers after adding 1.38% due to a rise in Aldar by 1.5%.

The banks sector also gained 1.18% as First Gulf Bank (FGB) climbed 2.14%. The telecom sector levelled up 0.25% after Etisalat advanced 0.25%.

The market saw trading of 12.19 million shares through 147 transactions, with a turnover of AED 11.93 million.
