Blue chips push ADX to open higher

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) witnessed gains in Tuesday’s early trades, spurred by the rise of blue chips.

The main index rose 0.43% or 18.43 points to reach 4,306.63 points by 10:50am UAE time.

The consumer staples sector was the best performer after adding 1.2% as Agthia Group levelled up 1.5%. The real estate sector also climbed 1.2% as Aldar Properties increased 1.15%.

The telecom sector grew 0.8% after Etisalat increased 0.8%. Similarily, the banks sector gained 0.2% due to a rise in United Arab Bank and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) by 5.26% and 1.01% respectively.

Turnover reached AED 121.27 million after trading 116.17 million shares through 873 transactions.
