Blue chips push DFM up at open

Dubai-Mubasher: Dubai Financial Market (DFM) opened in the green on Tuesday, backed by blue chips.

The DFMGI rose 0.32% or 10.6 points to reach 3,361.49 points by 11:00am UAE time.

The real estate sector increased 0.44% after Emaar Properties levelled up 0.9%.

The investment sector added 0.6% as DFM Company advanced 2.9%.

Also, the banks sector went up 0.2% due to a 0.7% rise in Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB).

DFM is expected to see profit-taking on Tuesday, analysts earlier told Mubasher.

The market saw trading of 89.5 million shares, with turnover of AED 119.74 million.
