Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Thursday’s trading session with a drop, pressured by blue-chip stocks.
The general index tumbled 1.26% to finish the last session of the week at 4,914.39 points.
The ADX’s trading volume reached 79.245 million shares exchanged with a turnover of AED 214.373 million through 1,662 transactions.
The telecommunication sector and its only stock, Etisalat, went down 0.47%, each, while the banks sector dipped 1.73% after First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) shed 2.25%.
The energy sector levelled down 1.25% as Taqa sagged 7.45%.
On the positive side, the real estate sector inched up 0.31%, boosted by Aldar Properties’ 0.56% growth.
The consumer staples sector headed fallers with 2.25% after Agthia fell 3.37%.
