Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) ended Wednesday’s trading session in the negative territory, pressured by the fall of leading stocks.
The general index fell 0.56%, closing the session at 5,004.85 points.
The ADX’s trading volume reached 47.6 million shares exchanged with a turnover of AED 232.55 million through 2,315 transactions.
By the end of the session, the ADX's market capitalisation stood at AED 514.37 billion.
The banks sector topped the losers, falling 0.81% as First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) and Sharjah Islamic Bank went down 1.22% and 1.61%, respectively.
Similarly, the telecommunications sector and its sole stock, Etisalat, lost 0.24% each.
On the other hand, the energy sector headed the bourse’s gainers adding 0.69% as Abu Dhabi National Energy (TAQA) and Abu Dhabi National Oil Company for Distribution gained 5.38% and 1.31%, respectively.
