Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) ended Wednesday’s trading session with positive performance, supported by the growth of the energy and real estate sectors.
The general index inched up 12.23 points, or 0.24%, ending the session at 5,152.02 points.
The ADX’s trading volume reached 54.194 million shares exchanged with a turnover of AED 162.995 million through 1,461 transactions.
The energy sector topped gainers with 2.02% as Dana Gas grew 3.36%, while the real estate sector levelled up 0.54% on the back of Aldar Properties’ 0.55% increase.
Similarly, the banks sector went up 0.34% as First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) advanced 0.66%.
On the negative side, the services sector headed the losers after falling 5.72%, followed by the investment sector with 0.63%.
By the end of the session, Etisalat’s stock led the ADX in terms of liquidity with AED 39.95 million, while Dana Gas’s stock spearheaded the market in terms of trading volume with 20.81 million shares.
