Blue chips push up QSE at Wednesday’s open

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Wednesday’s trading in the green, encouraged by the growth of all sectors.

By 10:15 am Qatar time, the general index increased 0.89% to 9,337.10 points, adding 82.49 points.

Turnover amounted to QAR 129.4 million after 4.7 million shares traded through 1,700 transactions.

The goods and services sector topped the bourse gainers rising 1.88% after Medicare Group which soared 8.52%.

The real estate sector levelled up 1.14%, boosted by United Development Company’s 3.40% increase.

Similarly, the industrial sector went up 0.75% as Aamal Company added 2.16%, while the banking sector inched up 0.35% after Doha Bank rose 4.08%.

Doha Bank led the QSE in terms of trading volume with 750,800 shares, generating QAR 8.24 million.
