Kuwait-Mubasher: Boursa Kuwait has become responsible for the management of the Kuwait Stock Exchange’s (KSE) operations, according to Nayef Falah Al-Hajraf, Chairman of the Capital Markets Authority (CMA).
Transition of stock market operations to the new company will be followed by an initial public offering (IPO) at a later stage, Al-Hajraf added in a joint press briefing at the bourse headquarters .
The new company will take complete control of the market by 30 September 2016, he noted.
Boursa Kuwait should start to meet the market’s requirements, in accordance with the CMA’s regulations, as of Tuesday till the end of September.
The company aims to upgrade the bourse to reach emerging market status, as well as attract new listings, Khaled AlKhaled, Vice Chairman and CEO Boursa Kuwait said.
