Kuwait – Mubasher: The benchmark index of Boursa Kuwait closed Monday’s session 0.3% or 20.18 points higher at 6,774.72 points.
Both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices gained 0.31% and 0.03%, respectively.
The oil and gas segment topped gainers with 1.48%, backed by Maritime which rose 17.57% to be the top winner.
The banks sector levelled up 0.49%, endorsed by AUB which gained 11.29% to post the highest level in 14 months.
Meanwhile, the telecom segment led three decliners with 0.5%, dragged by Ooredoo which lost 1.67%.
The market’s liquidity shrank to KWD 4.36 million on Monday from KWD 5.79 million in the previous session, as the trading volume increased to 25.53 million shares from 23.43 million.
Al Imtiaz was the most active stock on which 5 million shares were traded, closing at 148 fils.
NBK posted the highest turnover of nearly KWD 744,040.
