Mubasher: The benchmark price index of Boursa Kuwait closed Monday’s trading session 0.55% or 37.23 points lower at 6,725.64 points.
Similarly, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices retreated 0.17% and 0.02%, respectively.
The consumer price index led ten decliners with 3.9%, dragged by Livestock Transport and Trading which lost 10.7%.
Meanwhile, the banking segment was the only gainer with 0.37%, backed by Gulf Bank of Kuwait (GBK) with 2.4%.
Boursa Kuwait’s liquidity increased by 47.4% to KWD 12.85 million on Monday compared to KWD 9.72 million in the previous session after the trading volume grew by 9.9% to 59.53 million shares from 54.17 million.
The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) recorded the highest turnover of KWD 3.36 million. The stock fell by 0.13%.
Noor was the most active stock on which 7.61 million shares were exchanged. The stock dropped 11.9%.
