Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Monday’s trading session higher in line with the rise of four banks-backed segments, despite lower liquidity.
The Main Market index posted a growth of 0.15% or 7.17 points to 4,871.52 points.
The Premier Market and the All-Share Market indices added 0.30% and 0.24%, respectively.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover decreased to KWD 15 million on Monday compared to KWD 10.9 million in the previous session after the trading volume decreased to 71.19 million shares from 77.86 million.
The banking segment topped four gainers with 0.69%, dragged by AUB Kuwait which added 2.6%.
Meanwhile, the consumer services sector led the decliners with 1.78% in line with the 22.3% drop of Jiyad, which posted the highest trading value of about KWD 879,340.
Manazel posted the highest trading volume of 12.76 million shares.
