Boursa Kuwait closes Monday in red zone

Kuwait – Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Monday’s trading session lower in line with the four Arab nations; KSA, UAE, Bahrain, Libya, and Egypt, which cut their diplomatic relations with Qatar.

The price index fell by 0.39% or 26.82 points to 6,803.20 points, the weighted index retreated by 0.79%, and the Kuwait-15 index lost 1.04%.

The financial services segment led eight decliners with 1.52%, dragged by Osoul Investment which lost 8.3% to be the top loser.

Meanwhile, the consumer services sector was the only gainer with 5.9%, on the back of Eyas which rose 19% to be the top winner.

The market’s trading value increased to KWD 8.82 million from KWD 8.37 million in the previous session, after the trading volume decreased to 48.63 million shares from 49.22 million.

AUB was the most active stock on which 6.63 million shares were exchanged at a value of KWD 1.43 million.
