Boursa Kuwait closes Sunday higher on banking sector

Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait went up collectively by the end of Sunday’s trading session, supported by the rise of five sectors led by banks.

Both the Premier Market and the All Share Market indexes gained 1.2% and 0.94%, respectively. Similarly, the Main Market index inched up 0.17%.

Liquidity declined to KWD 46.14 million on Sunday, versus KWD 59.1 million on Thursday. Also, the trading volume fell to 176.32 million shares from 194.52 million.

The banking segment advanced five gainers with 1.46%. Meanwhile, the technology sector led six decliners with a fall of 3.95%.

National International Holding (NIH) came at the top of the winners’ list, as it climbed 16.67%, while Tamdeen Real Estate led the losers with 9.87%.

Also, Ahli United Bank-Bahrain (AUB Bahrain) was the most active stock, in terms of the trading volume, recording 17.66 million shares, the stock closed 4.3% up.

Moreover, Kuwait Finance House (KFH) posted the highest liquidity of KWD 8.71 million, the stock rose 2.41%.
