Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Sunday’s trading session with a grouped rise for the third session in a row; the benchmark price index added 0.79% or 50.8 points to 6,504.97 points.
Similarly, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices gained 0.56% and 0.77%, respectively.
Real estate companies topped five gainers with 2.3%, backed by Real Estate Asset Management (REAM) with 19%.
The consumer services segment went up 1.45%, backed by Kuwait Cable which jumped 20% to be the top winner.
Meanwhile, the oil and gas sector led five decliners with 0.7%, dragged by Burgan Drilling which lost 12.4%.
Telecom companies retreated 0.44%, as Ooredoo and Viva lost 1.3% and 1%, respectively.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover shrank by 14.3% to KWD 17.44 million on Sunday compared to KWD 20.34 million in the previous session after the trading volume decreased by 11.9% to 131.14 million shares from 148.87 million.
Kuwait Finance House (KFH) posted the highest liquidity of KWD 4.1 million.
Investors was the most active stock on which 19.41 million shares were traded.
