Mubasher: The benchmark price index of Boursa Kuwait closed Sunday’s trading session 0.59% or 40.36 points lower at 6,767.54 points.
Similarly, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices levelled down 0.14% and 0.09%, respectively.
The financial services segment led seven decliners with 2.13%, dragged by Gulf Investment House which dropped 20% to be the top loser; the stock was back to trading on Sunday.
Meanwhile, oil and gas companies topped four gainers with 1.13%, backed by Burgan Drilling which added 9.25%.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover increased by 0.3% to KWD 11.2 million on Sunday compared to KWD 11.17 million in the previous session after the trading volume decreased by 1.8% to 79.87 million shares from 81.34 million.
The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) posted the highest liquidity of KWD 2.84 million, the stock added 0.13%.
Gulf Investment House was the most active stock on which 11.33 million shares were traded at a value of about KWD 211,000.
