Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Sunday’s session 0.4%, or 24.6 points, lower at 6,612.35 points.
Both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices retreated 0.16% and 0.15%, respectively.
The insurance segment led eight decliners with 2.14%, dragged down by Wethaq and Warba Insurance which dropped 9.3% and 8.96%, respectively.
The banking sector edged down 0.2%, in line with the 0.95% decline of Boubyan Bank.
Meanwhile, the telecom segment topped three gainers with 0.47%, headed by Viva which rose 1.37%.
KGL was the top winner with a rise of 6.36%, closing at 61.9 fils.
On Sunday, Boursa Kuwait’s liquidity shrank by 60% to KWD 4.41 million compared to KWD 11 million in the previous session, posting the lowest level in six months.
The trading volume decreased by 75.3% to 21.82 million shares from 88.37 million.
Kuwait Finance House (KFH) posted the highest trading value of KWD 1.05 million, up 0.36%.
Ajwan was the most active stock on which 2.18 million shares were traded, falling 5.45%.
