Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Thursday’s trading session in the green for the third consecutive session.
The benchmark price index went up 1.5% or 83.85 points to 6,331.7 points, while both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices gained 0.87% and 0.98%, respectively.
The industrial segment topped ten gainers with 3.3%, backed by UPAC which added 14.5%.
Telecom companies went up 1.65%, backed by Aan and Viva which rose by 3.1% and 2.7%, respectively.
Meanwhile, the basic materials sector was the only decliner with 0.4%, dragged by Kuwait Foundry which lost 2.61%.
Metal and Recycling topped winners with 20%, while Kuwait Cable headed losers with a decline of 19.1%.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover increased by 85.6% to KWD 13.12 million on Thursday from KWD 7.07 million on Wednesday after the trading volume grew by 43.3% to 82.77 million shares from 57.75 million.
Kuwait Finance House (KFH) posted the highest liquidity of KWD 2.17 million, rising 1.6%.
Abyaar Real Estate was the most active stock on which 10.55 million shares were exchanged, up 1.43%.
