Mubasher: The benchmark price index closed Thursday’s session 0.83% or 53.08 points higher at 6,454.16 points.
Both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices added 0.52% and 0.51%, respectively.
Telecom companies topped nine gainers with 2.4%, backed by Zain which levelled up 3%.
Meanwhile, the technology and consumer services sectors were the only decliners with 2.16% and 0.3%, respectively.
Wethaq was the top winner with 20%, while Kuwait Cinema led losers with 10.7%.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover grew by 3.7% to KWD 20.34 million on Thursday compared to KWD 19.62 million on Wednesday after the trading volume increased by 27.6% to 148.87 million shares from 116.64 million.
Kuwait Finance House (KFH) posted the highest liquidity of KWD 3.18 million, rising 0.51%.
Unicap was the most active stock on which 23.36 million shares were exchanged.
