Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Thursday’s session with a mixed performance; the price index retreated 0.45% or 30.45 points to close at 6,662.11 points.
Both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices gained 0.2% and 0.51%, respectively.
The telecom segment topped five gainers with 1.3%, backed by Zain which rose by 0.87%.
Meanwhile, the industrial sector led six decliners with 1.9%, dragged by Nafais which lost 20% to be the top loser.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover surged by 48.6% to KWD 45.07 million on Thursday compared to KWD 30.34 million on Wednesday, after the trading volume increased by 31.8% to 221.84 million shares from 168.34 million.
Zain was the most active stock on which 34.09 million shares were traded through 1,254 transactions at a value of KWD 19.04 million that formed 42.3% of the market’s total traded shares.
