Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Thursday’s trading session on a mixed note.
The price index added 0.28% or 18.34 points to the level of 6.548.42 points.
Meanwhile, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices slipped 0.07% and 0.12%, respectively.
Technical capital market analyst Ibrahim Al-Filkawy said that the price index is seeing a technical rebound at 6,550 points that may reach 6,580 points.
The consumer services segment fell 1.15%, pressured by Alrai which lost 6.67%.
Likewise, the banks sector inched down 0.51% as National Bank Kuwait and Kuwait Finance House tumbled 1.6% and 0.9%, respectively.
On the other hand, the communication sector rose 1.3% on the back of Ooredoo, Zain, and Viva, which levelled up 2.94%, 2.13%, and 2.12%, respectively.
Boursa Kuwait’s liquidity shrank by 7.7% to KWD 12.71 million on Thursday from KWD 13.77 million in the previous session.
Trading volume increased 1.9% to 68.37 million shares from 67.12 million shares.
Zain was the most active stock on which 8.88 million shares were exchanged at a turnover of KWD 2.33 million, down 1%.
