Mubasher: The All-Share, Main, and Premier markets of Boursa Kuwait closed Tuesday’s trading session with a rise of 0.32%, 0.01%, and 0.47%, respectively.
The telecom segment topped four gainers with 0.67%, while the oil and gas sector led seven decliners with 1%.
Shuaiba Industrial headed the winners with 20.3%, while Warba Insurance led the losers with 1%.
Turnover increased by 33.4% to KWD 26.71 million on Tuesday compared to KWD 20.02 million in the prior session after the trading volume decreased by 3.7% to 160.04 million shares from 166.17 million.
The Gulf Bank of Kuwait (GBK) was the most active stock on which 30.16 million shares were exchanged at a value of KWD 8.18 million, the stock went down 1.82%.
The blue chips, namely the National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) and Kuwait Finance House (KFH), of Boursa Kuwait played a key role on Tuesday, while the GBK stock was not endorsed by the positive income statements, capital market analyst Nizar Yunus told Mubasher.
